Montages

I choose the images in my Nature Montage, that i photographed, because I thought they would look good together. There's a lot of different browns and reds that make my dog's head fits in perfectly. With the brown and black and white on the dog, those colors make the red in the plant and even kind of the pine cone and also the stick that is by the dog's head, stick out even more. They all have the "nature" feel with either being outside or a plant that make it look good. The Musical montage includes many different types of Musical instruments that all look good together. It also includes my boyfriend who plays bass in his band. The lyrics that are on top are from Bullet For My Valentine, Hearts Burst Into Fire, they have a pretty big meaning to both me and Tony. Along with the candle, it has a bigger meaning to both of us then just a candle. They also look very good together but I wish the Microphone wasn't in the picture. It would have made the picture of Tony look a lot better. So in a way my Music Montage could also be considered a love type montage just because Tony and the lyrics and the candle make it that way.

Jenny,
Good start but be careful that you stay away from cliche imagery. The microphone could easily be clone stamped out if it is not something you like in your photo.
The use of text can sometimes be a distraction in a photo, or sometimes, it can help a photo. You need to decide what it is doing for you in this photo.

I like your first montage, especially with the dog in the corner looking up at everything. It's cute :] but I don't think you have a clear theme. If you would have had a clear, meaningful theme it would be better. With the second one try creating a layer and filling it with a dark color, playing with the opacity so the microphone isn't as bright and then erase around it. I think the microphone being so bright is distracting and creating an unlikable focal point but the microphone is almost necessary in portraying the fact he is in a band. I do think the second one is my favorite though.

*Sniff* *sniff*... do you smell that? Smells like cheese! Haha! Like my pun? Annny way I like these especially the first one with the flowers and candle. I think the one with Tony in it is a weeeeee skosh cheesey. But just a wee skosh. I like how you put the lyrics in it though with the music stuff that was cool! Good job Jenny!
